This first part of this biblical book contains the stories of creation of Adam & Eve. Then the casting out of them from the Garden of Eden. Then Noah building a huge ark and the everything flood. The Abraham story is next with details of the destruction of Sodom & Gomorra.
Patriarch Isaac and Jacob are the next stories, Jacob having 12 sons which became the twelve tribes of Israel. Son Joseph becomes the effective ruler of Egypt and then the eventual settling of the 70 souls in Egypt. The book concludes with the death of Jacob, AKA Israel.
